Colorado Hair Removal: King and Queen of the Industry

by: Judy Wellsworth
The diversity of methods you could have the unsightly hair removed from visible places is dazzling, since the industry has developed in order to cater to every taste and whim of the clients: some go with the traditional shaving and waxing, which can be done comfortably at home or at salons and spas, others choose from the varied array of creams and gels that have the property of eliminating unwanted follicles without any smarting sensations and excluding the danger of getting cut or irritated like blades do. Finally, the more advanced techniques that imply laser machines and electrolysis guarantee, in several sessions, the sought permanency of the effects.
There are indeed many listings on the menu of Colorado hair removal clinics and spas, and you can select happily from them, to get full satisfaction and long lasting effects. In here, the most advanced equipment is used, the state taking pride in the oldest and altogether modern institution that uses aesthetic lasers.
Rocky Mountain Laser College at Your Disposal
The machinery created for the purpose of hair removal nowadays is very complicated and therefore, in need of accredited personnel to handle it, in spas and salon. This is what the Rocky Mountain Laser College, situated in the state of Colorado, in Lakewood, actually does: it trains people and develops their skills required in laser therapy, having “nurtured” almost one thousand five hundred specialists that handle laser machines all over the world. The Rocky Mountain Laser College specializes obviously in the training of those who choose to operate with lasers and electrolysis equipment also, introducing new concepts, such as the distinct treatment of each type of skin, from Asian, to Hispanic, African American, Caucasian or Mediterranean type.
The leader of the Rocky Mountain College is a very well known hair removal specialist, not only in Colorado, but all over the world: Lorenzo Kunze, M.E. is an accredited medical laser professional and has the honor of being a board-approved specialist in electrolysis as well, since he is committed to research, teaching and developing the science of laser operations for more than thirty-five years.
Places in Colorado Hair Removal Industry to Get Pampered In
Since the economy of this branch has sky rocketed these last few years, Colorado hair removal business has become one of the most profitable in the country, and has favored the appearance of many centers and spas: The one in Denver is the most famous, but you can also choose for your complete satisfaction the salons and luxurious clinics from the city of Boulder, Colorado, that is “endowed” with as many as seven such places, or you can go for the four spas in Aurora, or visit the lovely cities of Fort Collins, Loveland, Littleton, Pueblo, Grand Junction, and Colorado Springs in order to have an unique Colorado hair removal experience. One thing is certain, no matter what selection you make, highly skilled professionals are permanently available to show you exactly how the most modern laser machines work in your benefit.

Laser Hair Removal- What You Always Wanted To Know

Laser hair removal is getting more popular everyday. There are many questions in mind of people who would like to get hair removed by laser. What is the result with laser hair removal? Does that cause pain? Does laser hair removal cost very much? Is laser hair removal safe? Such questions need to be answered. Let us look at them. Before that let us find out about how laser removes hair.
When laser is focused on skin, it gets attracted to the pigment of the hair follicle. The laser heats the hair follicles and burns it at the root. The darker the color of the hair, better the results. Similarly the skin should be light colored otherwise the skin also attracts laser and gets blistered. With latest developments this possibility is getting eliminated, but you must talk to your physician about your hair and skin color and the results expected. Ideally there should be substantial difference between skin color and hair color.
1.The biggest advantage of laser hair removal is the freedom of getting hair removed from different body parts. Except the region near the eyes, you can get all the body treated for hair removal with laser. You need not worry any more about removing hair from bikini are, back, legs, shoulders, hands or any other body part. Laser can safely remove hair from all over the body except the region near the eyes. Your technician will tell you more about this.
2. Most of the latest lasers have no side effects except redness and swelling that disappears after few days. If you are a dark colored person, you may want to talk with the technician and physician about the equipment they have and the possible side effects on your skin after laser hair removal.
3.Number of laser hair removal treatments required- hair grows in cycles. You have to therefore get hair removed at intervals. All the hair from an area cannot be removed at a time. Your technician will advise you about the interval between each cycle. Normally you can expect to get hair removed in three treatments.
4. Results with laser hair removal - though laser does not remove hair permanently, it produces long lasting results. The hair that grows back will be finer and less colored. you can painlessly get hair removed from difficult areas of the body and the procedure is not painful when anesthetic issued. Please make sure that the technician you select is highly trained. That is of primary importance in getting hair removed with laser hair removal.

All About Laser Hair Removal, Permanent Hair Removal, and Electrolysis

As we get older, we tend to get more wrinkles, lines and unwanted hair growing in places it shouldn’t. Our goal is to provide you with some straight facts about laser hair removal. The first question most people ask is will they make a good candidate for this type of treatment. The number one requirement is that one’s hair must be darker than the surrounding skin. So if you are fair skinned and have dark, unwanted hair, you would indeed be a good candidate. Dark skinned people tend to absorb too much laser energy and therefore are not considered candidates for this procedure. People also want to know about permanent hair removal and the difference between laser hair removal and electrolysis.
The Popularity Of The Laser Hair Removal Machine

Mark Woodcock
In our culture today, it seems that the less body hair you have, the more attractive you are considered. Over time, people have tried many things in an attempt to remove their unwanted body hair, with little regard to pain and expense it seems. Shaving that can leave you with cuts and rashes, bleaching that can cause skin irritation, tweezing that can be painful and tedious, waxing that is very painful, and using depilatories that melt away hair (and sometimes skin) are some of the methods people have employed in the fight against body hair. Most everyone that desires to rid himself or herself of unattractive or embarrassing body hair would favor a way to do so that will take away the hair forever. Unfortunately, that only comes with electrolysis, which is highly expensive and requires many treatments. That is why laser hair removal has been growing in popularity. It promises quick removal of hair from the root, and pledges that the hair will grow back at a very slow rate. If you are considering the procedure of laser hair removal, it is smart to learn about the procedure, and that you find a reputable and practitioner that knows how to properly use the laser hair removal machine that will be used to carry out the procedure on you.
Laser hair removal works when a technician or physician uses a hand-held machine to push and light beams through the device into the hair follicles. This light is aimed at the dark pigment in your hair, and causes damage to the hair follicles without damaging the surrounding tissue. The procedure is somewhat painful, despite many claims by some laser hair removal professionals to the contrary. Most clinics will make available several pain reduction techniques, including skin cooling with gels, sprays, water mist, or air.
There are a great many plusses to laser hair removal. The most important one is the long-term removal of unwanted hair, or it’s permanent reduction in appearance, which can diminish embarrassment. Any regrowth of hair often comes in lighter in color and finer in texture. If performed correctly by a technician or physician that knows how to operate a laser hair removal machine, the procedure is considered safe. If you have a large area on your body with a great deal of hair, such as your back, chest, or legs, laser hair removal will work best for you. Fair-skinned people with darker body hair usually get the best results with this procedure.
With the plusses, there are, of course, the minuses. There is very little long-term medical evidence to suggest laser hair removal’s safety or effectiveness. Since every body is different, it is difficult to establish concrete regrowth scales. Laser hair removal tends to not work as effectively on gray, red, or blonde hairs, and it must be performed very carefully on people with darker skin tones or who tan themselves regularly. Having laser hair removal can result in burns, abrasions, or skin discoloration. And since some people don’t respond to it at all, the decision to have it done should be carefully made.
There are many establishments out there who perform laser hair removal that make claims that the procedure is painless, that the hair removal is completely permanent, and that there will be absolutely no hair regrowth. There are currently FDA regulations in place that prohibit anyone to make these claims. But, because there is no real legal regulation of who can purchase laser hair removal machines, for training on the use of them, or quality control standards, there is a great risk for physical injury if you take a chance with someone who is not a licensed physician, or a highly reputable laser hair removal technician. By making laser hair removal machines more widely available by not restricting those who can purchase them, it might make it more affordable, but it also increases the risks to those who choose to undergo the procedure. It is not worth the risks just to save money by going to someone who might not have the expertise to use the laser hair removal machine.
Choosing a person to do your laser hair removal should be a long and well thought out process. Take heed to choose a physician or clinic that will give you a free in-office consultation. Ask as many questions as possible, including questions regarding the laser hair removal machine, pain relief, costs and fees, and post-procedure treatment. Observe the office and equipment to see that they are clean. Talk to former customers, and ask them questions about the clinic or physician’s manner and service. Ask to get a test patch done before you make any commitments, and do not make a commitment to have the procedure done at the consultation meeting. Think carefully about it. By taking time to make your choice, you will get the best price and the best experience, and have the best possible outcome with your laser hair removal.
Laser Hair Removal in St Louis with a True Laser

When you go to get a “laser” treatment for hair removal, you may want to make sure you are being treated with a true laser. There are many places that are using machinery that they call lasers, but do not target areas the way a true laser does. (PRWEB) March 20, 2005 — When you go to research Laser Hair Removal, beware of the “Laser” they are using. There are now many places that are using machinery that they call lasers, but that are not true lasers. An actual laser uses a specific wavelength, targeting a specific area. There are other “lasers”, such as IPL’s that have multiple wavelengths and therefore are not real lasers. Technically they are light devices. These machines are not always able to target a specific area, and it is possible to get some good results, but why chance it when you can use a true laser to get good results all the time. Another thing to watch for, if you have blonde, gray or white hairs, please do not be fooled to think that you will get permanent hair removal from a laser treatment. If the lasers, machinery, or IPL’s are looking for pigment in the hair follicles and there is no pigment, then there is no logical way that this will work. Some people think that the radio frequency devices, which basically use soundwaves; cause vibrations within molecules deep in the skin, create heat and cause destruction of hairs. Nice theory, but there isnt any proof that it works. Some studies show decreased hair, but neglect to mention that the hairs came back after a certain amount of time. If there is a possibility that the hair is going to re-grow, why chance it? That is a lot of money, discomfort and time that will be wasted. As a technician myself at St. Louis Skin Solutions, www.stlouisskin.com, you will receive a true laser treatment, and you will not be treated if we feel that the treatment is a waste of your time or money. I just want everyone to know the facts. Ask a lot of questions, and make sure that you are getting a true laser treatment.

The Risks of Laser Hair Removal and Laser Treatments in Non-Physician Supervised Spas
Filed under: Laser Hair Removal — steve @ 2:44 pm
by: Louis Amico
New technologies and therapies for laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation have made these non-invasive procedures easier and less expensive for patients while the results continue to improve. On the other hand, the proliferation of laser hair removal and skin care spas has raised safety concerns. Injuries can include scarring, pigmentation changes, and even blindness. (PRWEB) December 21, 2005 — New technologies and therapies for laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation have made these non-invasive procedures easier and less expensive for patients while the results continue to improve. Innovative approaches are allowing physicians to avoid some of the side effects that plagued earlier methods. On the other hand, the proliferation of laser hair removal and skin care spas has raised safety concerns. With the increasing popularity and availability of these services, the incidence of injury from these %26#8220;low risk%26#8221; procedures is beginning to grow. While serious injury very rarely occurs (there have been two deaths associated with laser hair removal and the use of topical anesthetic), troublesome injuries requiring evaluation and treatment by a medical specialist are becoming more commonplace. Injuries can include scarring, pigmentation changes, and even blindness. Donald J. Sudy, M.D., a Board Certified Physician and Medical Director for ReGenesis Medical Spa and Wellness Center in Charlotte, worries that patients are not being properly evaluated prior to treatment. %26#8220;While lasers are generally safe in the right hands and most patients have no contraindications, there are a few medical conditions that can lead to adverse outcomes. Certain medical conditions, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, adrenal or ovarian tumors, can manifest themselves by excessive facial hair or male pattern hair growth, that could be easily missed if the patient is not appropriately screened. Certain medications such as Accutane can place the laser patient at higher risk for complications. Appropriate medical screening is warranted in all new laser patients.%26#8221; Two recent articles in medical journals notes the rise in Non-Physician spas and the correlating rise in adverse results. Many states now allow non-physicians to own and operate hair removal lasers, which has resulted in the explosive growth of hair removal spas in those states. %26#8220;Companies are setting up aesthetic centers on every corner. They%26#8217;re becoming as ubiquitous as McDonald%26#8217;s and Burger King Franchises,%26#8221; said Keneth Arndt, M.D., Professor of Dermatology at Yale and Harvard Medical Schools. %26#8220;The question is how well trained are the people doing the treatments? In some cases, people are getting only a week%26#8217;s worth of training for the use of Botox®, Restylane®, laser hair removal, and other cosmetic procedures. These people then function as independent operators. That is a cause for great concern.%26#8221; At ReGenesis Medical Spa, Dr. Sudy sees all patients and performs all laser and injection treatments. %26#8220;With the increasing popularity of these procedures, adverse outcomes are bound to increase. Having a physician who is actively involved in patient evaluation, treatment and follow-up is an important component to preventing injury%26#8221;, says Sudy. %26#8220;It is critical that there are established training protocols with ongoing education and evaluation of all practitioners. And finally, the ability to treat and refer patients who are injured or have other medical concerns is also important. %26#8220;It would be a shame that with the significant improvement in treating unwanted hair, age spots and wrinkles that the public would begin to be anxious or afraid of these wonderful treatments because of the outcome of a few poorly trained and managed spas.%26#8221; Dr. Sudy, with a background in Emergency and Aerospace Medicine, has been a recent guest speaker at a national Medical Esthetics conference regarding the risks and subsequent injuries of poorly trained or unsupervised personnel in medical spas. ReGenesis Medical Spa %26 Wellness Center is located at 4423 Sharon Road across from the SouthPark Mall. For more information, call 704.362.2232 or visit www.regenesismedicalspa.com. ###
